Burner / Carbon Arc Gouger

Sparta Networking is hiring a Burner / Carbon Arc Gouger for shipbuilding and marine production in Pascagoula, Mississippi. You will cut, gouge, and prepare steel for teams building large commercial and defense vessels. The right candidate is steady with a torch, safety-minded, and ready for hands-on shipyard work.

What you will do

• Operate oxy-fuel and carbon-arc equipment to cut and gouge steel
• Mark and prepare material per drawings and layout instructions
• Remove defects and prepare joints for welding
• Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures
• Work across the shipyard, including heights and confined spaces

What you need

• High school diploma or GED
• Burning / gouging experience or willingness to train
• Able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varied weather
• Able to lift 40 pounds or more
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• U.S. citizenship required
