Machinery Designer

About this role

Sparta Networking seeks a Machinery Designer to support shipbuilding programs in Pascagoula, Mississippi. You will design shipboard machinery systems and produce drawings and 3D models. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, CAD-fluent, and comfortable collaborating with engineering and production teams.

What you will do

• Develop machinery arrangement drawings and 3D models in CAD
• Apply design standards, tolerances, and shipbuilding specifications
• Coordinate with engineering and production to resolve design issues
• Check and revise drawings through review cycles
• Maintain accurate documentation and design records

What you need

• Associate or Bachelor degree in design, drafting, or engineering (or equivalent experience)
• CAD and 3D modeling proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• U.S. citizenship required (some roles may require clearance)
