Sparta Networking is seeking experienced Pipe Welders to support shipbuilding and marine production operations in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This full-time contract position involves performing pipe welding on large-scale commercial and defense-related vessel projects in a shipyard environment.
What you will do
- Perform pipe welding using approved welding procedures and specifications
- Weld pipe joints and assemblies in various positions
- Prepare, align, and fit piping components prior to welding
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work area
- Follow all shipyard safety and quality requirements
What you need
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous pipe welding experience required
- Ability to pass a welding test or maintain required certifications
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- U.S. citizenship required
