Pipefitter

About this role

Sparta Networking is hiring skilled Pipefitters for shipbuilding and marine production work in Pascagoula, Mississippi. You'll help build and outfit large commercial and defense vessels in a fast-paced shipyard. The ideal candidate reads drawings well, works cleanly and safely, and takes pride in precise fit-ups.

What you will do

• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems and components
• Read and interpret piping isometrics, blueprints, and specifications
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipe to required tolerances
• Position and secure piping with hangers, supports, and fasteners
• Coordinate with welders and inspectors to complete installations
• Keep tools, equipment, and work area safe and clean

What you need

• High school diploma or GED
• Pipefitting experience or relevant trade training
• Able to read drawings and use layout/measuring tools
• Able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varied weather
• Able to lift 40 pounds or more
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• U.S. citizenship required
