About this role
Sparta Networking seeks experienced Maintenance Controllers to coordinate aircraft maintenance activities for a leading aviation operation. This role ensures regulatory compliance, minimizes operational disruptions, and maintains safety and reliability standards.
What you will do
- Monitor aircraft maintenance status and coordinate corrective actions as needed
- Provide technical support to maintenance teams, flight operations, and company leadership
- Review aircraft discrepancies and determine appropriate maintenance actions
- Coordinate aircraft recovery efforts, AOG events, and unscheduled maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, MEL, CDL, and maintenance procedures
- Serve as the primary communication point between maintenance providers, vendors, and operational departments
- Review maintenance records and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Support aircraft return-to-service decisions in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain situational awareness of fleet status and operational impacts
What you need
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations, MEL, CDL, and aircraft maintenance practices
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operations environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking and operational software systems
Nice to have
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Previous Maintenance Control experience
- Experience supporting Part 121, Part 135, or corporate aviation operations
