Sparta Networking is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment for a leading construction company in Greenville, SC. This hands-on role requires troubleshooting expertise and a commitment to keeping critical equipment running safely and reliably in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines on construction equipment and vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Coordinate with operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate service records and complete repair documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards
- Manage and organize parts inventory as needed
What you need
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic in construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed
- Physically demanding role with ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Nice to have
- Experience with heavy machinery, trucks, and fleet maintenance
