Seeking an FPGA Engineer to design and validate safety-critical instrumentation and control systems for next-generation energy technology in Los Angeles, CA. You will collaborate with electrical, embedded software, and systems engineers to develop reliable FPGA architectures for highly regulated environments.
What you will do
- Design and develop FPGA systems for instrumentation and control platforms
- Implement FPGA logic using VHDL or Verilog
- Integrate sensor and actuator interfaces into hardware control systems
- Perform simulation, validation, and hardware testing
- Collaborate with embedded software and hardware teams on system architecture
- Support development of safety-critical and fault-tolerant systems
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience with FPGA design (VHDL or Verilog)
- Experience with embedded hardware systems
- Strong debugging and hardware validation skills
Nice to have
- High-reliability systems experience (nuclear, aerospace, defense, robotics, or energy)
- Signal processing or real-time control systems
- Hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Familiarity with safety-critical systems
