Dental Hygienist

About this role

Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Handles a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations. These duties range in complexity and skill, and all aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service skills and a strong commitment to working well with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other dental office team members.

What you will do

• GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation may be required
• Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work
• Apply fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line
• Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease
• Record and review patient medical histories
• Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Order and keep track of inventory as needed
• Other duties as assigned. Work Environment:
• This job operates in a medical/clinical environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, x-rays, and phones

What you need

• One (1) year of hands-on experience as a hygienist
• GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Some locations require GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy operational experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school
• CPR certification
• Dental Hygienist License
