About this role
Frontier Airlines seeks a Manager, Maintenance Control for their Denver operations to oversee daily maintenance control activities, manage personnel, and ensure safe aircraft operations. This role requires FAA certification, extensive maintenance experience, and supervisory/management background in airline maintenance.
What you will do
- Oversee daily operation of Maintenance Control during assigned shift ensuring continuous and safe operation of company aircraft
- Supervise and manage Maintenance Control personnel, establish work schedules, manage vacations and absences, and handle payroll processing
- Design and implement action plans to reduce maintenance-related delays and cancellations
- Monitor and manage the MEL/CDL/NEF process for accuracy and maintain all One Time On-Call Maintenance documentation
- Exercise financial authority for AOG aircraft recovery, including approval for purchasing parts, charters, or third-party maintenance vendors
- Maintain department goals and performance objectives, conduct training including recurrent training
- Serve as single point of contact for Sr Manager and Director of Maintenance regarding daily operations
- Review and control retention of maintenance documentation and ensure timely audits of completed overnight work
- Verify FMIS entries and administer departmental self-audits
- Act on company behalf with authority to discipline or recommend discharge when policies are violated, and ground aircraft when necessary
What you need
- FAA Certificated Mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Minimum 5 years of combined Line Maintenance and/or Heavy Maintenance experience
- Minimum 2 years of Maintenance Control experience
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role in the Maintenance Operations environment
- Proven leadership, motivational and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of the Airbus A320 family aircraft
- Demonstrated knowledge of airline maintenance operations
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and administer/delegate responsibilities to subordinates
- Must successfully complete all company required training
- Must demonstrate behavior that demonstrates the company's core values
