Maintenance Controller

About this role

Frontier Airlines seeks a Maintenance Controller for their Denver headquarters to manage and oversee maintenance operations on a shift basis, ensuring safe and compliant aircraft operations. The role involves direct supervision of maintenance activities, technical guidance, and coordination with multiple departments. A $20,000 pre-employment sign-on bonus is offered for new hires starting before 10/31/2025.

What you will do

• Directly supervise all maintenance activities performed by contract maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with Frontier's General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel on technical, operational and procedural matters
• Ensure safety is the paramount consideration and that Frontier aircraft are maintained to uncompromising safety standards
• Remove aircraft from service if maintenance work is not satisfactorily completed
• Authorize MEL/CDL deferrals and develop work scopes for deferrals with necessary troubleshooting steps
• Coordinate aircraft out-of-service events with Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support and Engineering to reduce schedule impact
• Maintain positive operational control and situational awareness of out-of-service aircraft
• Generate reports on delays, cancellations, out-of-service and other performance data for management
• Maintain comprehensive shift logs of all communications and aircraft work
• Provide thorough turnover to on-coming personnel on work in progress and follow-up items

What you need

• Airframe and Powerplant License (required)
• 5 years of Line Maintenance experience OR 2 years C-Check experience plus 2 years avionics troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of airline maintenance practices, federal aviation regulations, and Frontier's General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures
• Excellent Airbus systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to interface effectively with Engineering, Maintenance, Purchasing, Flight Operations, Flight crews, and Dispatchers
• Ability to plan, organize, and administrate workloads to subordinates
• Must attend and successfully complete Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course

• Subject to pre-employment drug testing and DOT safety-sensitive requirements

Nice to have

• FCC First Class Radio Telephone Certificate
• Previous experience as a maintenance supervisor
• Previous factory approved training on Airbus 319/320 aircraft
